Lively fun place on the handsome Troy downtown square with a definite but not overwhelming college vibe :)
We love these small college town places that serve up handcrafted pizza and local beers! :)
The wood-fired pizzas are ample, with delicious toppings and a variety of specialty flavours. We got the pizza margherita, with fresh mozzerella and fresh basil leaves -- DELICIOUS!!
One medium pizza was enough to feed 2 hungry adults, or 3 non-starving people. Paired with cold Abita beers, and this place was a slide of heaven on a hot day in Alabama!!
5 charming and delicious stars -

We had lunch with family. Pizzas and a turkey sandwich. Pizza was average pizzas and Turkey sandwich was nothing unexpected.
Everything was good.
Good selection of beers, although the wait staff was not much assistance with discerning what was what. They offered samples, which was good.
8/10, look forward to my next visit. -

The service was all at the bar when I came in and I was greeted with a loud call to seat my self. The beer menu was nice, lots of options but the waitress had little information on what each one was. I asked for something not to hoppy and she made a recommendation. What I got as an IPA and like s of hoops. I had the calzone, it was ok the crust looked a little light and could have baked a little longer. I ate my meal and then waited for sometime to get a check and a refill. Food wasn't bad but not great, service was slow. Overall nothing worth going back to in my opinion

If you like crackers with light sauce than this is your place. The only way we got flavor on that cracker/pizza was to load it with Parmesan and pepper. The weird thing is that everyone in this town recommended this place, I'm scared to try any other places they claim "is the best"! We went to Marcos pizza afterwards to get the awful cardboard flavor out of our mouth. Would give them no stars if I could!

I wandered into Sips on the Square while visiting Troy awhile back. I liked it so much, I came back for another visit. They have a decent selection of craft beers on tap and rotate them frequently, from what the owner told me (very sweet & genuine person).
We tried their Stephanie pizza - white sauce, artichokes, grilled chicken & sweet red peppers - yum! I wish I had remembered to take a picture:)
The wait staff was very cordial & accommodating and made the evening very enjoyable.
Troy needed places like this when I was here for school - I'll definitely stop back in!
